About

Hi! I am a wife, mother, and grandmother! As a retired kindergarten and preschool teacher of over 25 years, I have read a lot of children's books to actual children! Add that 30 years of experience in Scouting and numerous years as a Sunday school teacher for classes from 4 years old to high school, VBS teacher and director, and children's outreach worker -- it all adds up to a lot of experience with children of all ages. The moment I love is when I can see the light come on as someone learns that "new thing".

Writing has always been important to me, beginning with the short essay in grade school about the different types of substitute teachers one can have.  Back in those early years, my brother and I published a family newspaper for a short two-issue run -- not as easy on the old typewriter as it would be today!  Poetry captured my fancy at some point, and has flowed into song writing the past 25 years.

These days of retirement find me busy with teaching Bible studies, playing the auto-harp,  writing worship songs, and enjoying life.  My husband and I live in rural Missouri where the weather is a daily surprise, surrounded by all kinds of birds, a few dogs, and several cats.  We are active in our local church, Family Life Fellowship, and I am also involved with Aglow International.
